COWS - an acronym for the Central Okanagan
Writers Society, was started by Darcy Nybo in 2004. In November 2005 we celebrate the
beginning of our FIFTH year!

COWS now meets at DRAGONS LAIR
in Westbank. Dragons Lair is right beside Kelly O's in the Vintage View Mall (same
mall as Best Western, Tim Horton's and Nature's Fare.)
2009 MEETING SCHEDULE:
October 13th (Tuesday)
November 9th (Monday)
December 14th (Monday)
and every SECOND Monday of the month
thereafter unless it is a holiday Monday (unlikely but happens at Thanksgiving) and then
we move to Tuesday.
COST: One cuppa tea
from Dragons Lair. Silver is kind enough to give us her location for this
meeting. Please return the favour by providing her with some retail profit.
As Darcy says, being a writer is lonely
business. It's good to have a group of like minded inviduals to talk to whose opinion you
respect.
Darcy aka Mama Cow - also says "Don't

Since the groups inception, six members have
seen their work go from words in their minds, to books in their hands. Many awards
have been won, plots have been thickened, and all in all, they have a great time learning
and growing together.
